Dakota dabbler, first impressions.
I picked these up from Rodgers on sale. The advertisement said drakes had flocked heads. They do not. They are painted. Tossed a few of these out in the pond, 50/50 on landing correctly, which did not surprise me. They do not always self right. That is the price to pay for an inverted keel. The upside is they will sit just fine on the ice or land and that is why I bought them. Just under 2 pounds each, for those of you who are watching your weight. Only time will tell on the paint. I deducted a star because the heads were advertised as flocked.
Dual use, water and ice edge in late season

Bought 2 dozen of these. With the recessed keel, they move really well in calm water and are FANTASTIC to use on the ice edge in late season! GREAT PRODUCT!
These are some of the coolest decoys I have ever used. I use them in water, on the ice, and even in fields every once and a while. Its pretty hard to beat a decoy that you can do that with. Dakota products last forever and I just got these last...
Great realistic decoy that has held up well. Excellent movement on the water in even light wind! I will be adding more to my spread.
Great in flooded fields. We have used in very shallow water holes in the field have been amazed at he movement they offer. Sucks right to the eater so even in deep water ride the waves great as well. very universal
These dabblers are some of the coolest decoys I have ever used. I have used them in the water, in the ice, and even in fields a few times. This is my second year with them and they are still in great shape. Cant beat the Dakotas in my opinion.
Good looking decoys, but definitely use a slotted bag!
Awesome decoys, flat bottomed with keel seemed to move at slightest breeze and very naturally. The poses with some 'regular' decoys and a few flock a flickers gave us more looks. About the only thing 'wrong' quality wise... is the fact they're a...

Love the new keel design on these! they dont get as tangled up as easy. They look great and ride even in rougher water. Plus they double as field decoys!
Great puddle decoys
Purchased these for hunting small puddles on long walks in. They work great. Lightweight and great movement in the lightest of wind.
Wrapping a decoy line to these recessed keel decoys can be challenging. I tried a lot of different things and found that using 4 oz. "cone" shaped weight (can be difficult to find) with a rubber snubber and PVC line works well for me. I slide the ...
