These are special, fast-action rods designed to give warm-water spin fishermen the power and performance of a casting rod in a spinning configuration. While many of these rods are similar to our casting models in both actions and power-ratings, they are rated for slightly lighter line because spinning reels traditionally don't handle heavier line as well as a casting reel, even with oversized guides. These rods were originally developed for fishing soft plastics for bass, but have since been discovered by walleye anglers for vertical jigging as well as grubs and light bottom-bounce rigs. There are five different power ”groups”, ranging from 2- to 17-pound test line. Many of these rods are suitable for light saltwater use. They are just what the doctor ordered for bass, walleye and pike on the freshwater side and you'll find a number of ways to use them in light saltwater applications. They are light, sensitive and extremely accurate.

- This is one of our most versatile warm-water spinning rods. It has a fast taper which gives you a positive hook set as well as more casting distance. The extra length provides better line and lure control, especially in deep water. It's a nice rod for the spin angler fishing jerk-baits. It's great for "split shotting" small lizards and worms. If your preference for walleye or bass is spin over cast, this is a good light spinnerbait and crankbait rod. - A lightweight, dynamic spinning rod with surprising power, the 722 IMX is extremely versatile. It fishes best with eight pound line, but you can go up or down a line size and it fishes just fine. If you prefer spinning to casting, it's a great option. It's a really good choice for fising 'ounce jigs, tubes and grubs. There's plenty of power and it handles big fish - no problem. You will really appreciate its accuracy and control, but most of all the sensitivity.

It has a magnum taper, meaning the tip is light and the butt is very strong. It makes the rod a little more versatile and allows you to use a wider variety of lures.
